If you’re going to be traveling with children, Orlando is an excellent place to visit. There are a lot of great things for children to do here. Here are some of the best things for kids to do in the Orlando area.
Walt Disney World
Technically speaking, Disney World isn’t located in Orlando; it occupies a city known as Lake Buena Vista. However, Disney World is a great place to visit if you are taking your kids to Orlando. The theme parks in Disney offer compelling entertainment for children of all ages.
Children that are big fans of Marvel superheroes will love attractions like the new Guardians of the Galaxy experience. Animal lovers will be blown away by the Animal Kingdom theme park. Kids that love Mickey and Minnie will find plenty to do in the Magic Kingdom.
Disney World is a massive park; it could take weeks before you see it all. However, you should be able to have fun at Disney even if you only spend a day there. From Pixar to superheroes to Star Wars, Disney has everything that kids love.
The Universal Orlando Resort
Also known as Universal Studios, the Universal Orlando Resort is the other major attraction in the Orlando area. If your child prefers Batman to Iron Man, you may want to visit this resort; it’s home to DC superheroes like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
Of course, there’s a lot more to Universal than superheroes. This theme park also has a massive Harry Potter world. From shops that allow you to drink butterbeer to rides that are themed around Harry Potter, any child that loves the J.K. Rowling books will have a wonderful time here.
If your child loves seeing animals up close, they might have fun in SeaWorld. While this park is most famous for its whales, it is also home to a number of other nautical creatures.
SeaWorld can’t match the size and scope of other Orlando parks, which makes it better for shorter trips. With that said, kids that are impressed by animals will have a memorable time here.
The Orlando Science Center
If your kid loves science and experiments, you’ll want to set aside some time to visit Orlando’s premier science museum! This museum is fun enough to entertain adults, but it was specifically designed with kids in mind. The planetarium is a great place to visit when the weather is hot!
Skeletons: Museum of Osteology
If your child isn’t scared by skeletons, you might want to take them to see the Museum of Osteology! This museum has the bones of more than 500 animals on display. The dioramas and in-depth exhibits at the museum should fascinate any inquisitive child.
If you’re planning on traveling to Orlando with your kid — or kids –, you’ll want to look at some of the most child-friendly attractions in the area. Thankfully, there are all kinds of things for kids to do in Orlando. You’ll be able to have a lot of fun while you’re in town.
