It was not until modern times where the amusement parks began to be built. Today, it is a mecca for people that love going to Disney World and other locations.

If you travel in late fall, there is the probability that you may run into hurricanes, which is why many people tend not to go there on vacation after October. However, if you get to go there before then, definitely plan to stay at one of the theme parks at one of their hotels. If you do get a chance to go there, you should stay for at least a week so you can do a few things while you are there.
